What to pack: Bruges

Bruges may be ridiculously – almost comically – pretty with its chocolate box Medieval squares and grand Gothic finery. But this is still Belgium, people. Home of the Antwerp Six. Of Dries and Dirk and Ann Demeulemeester. So don’t be coming here and dressing all pretty-pretty. For Bruges, you need to go simple, utilitarian, sculptural. A properly good coat. A cool colour palette. And shoes you can depend upon.
