Mondrian Ibiza

Launched in 2023, Mondrian Ibiza is the brand’s first excursion to the White Isle and so it made sure it landed with a splash. Designed by Beades Architects and Cuarto Interior, this stunning property overlooks the turquoise waters of Cala Llonga. With 164 bedrooms, including beachfront bungalows, the Mondrian oozes with its unique brand of contemporary charm. The public spaces are replete with the textural dexterity and sculptural design that Mondrian has become known for, while the rooms continue the theme with wonderful pops of shape and colour in the form of furniture and art works. Barefoot dinners come courtesy of Cuyo, a beautiful Mexican restaurant, as well as numerous bars serving up drinks and food throughout the day. Look out for its new Japanese restaurant, Niko, which is set to open this season.
Six Senses Ibiza

Six Senses Ibiza has been the go-to luxury retreat on the island ever since it opened its rebranded doors in June 2022. Perched on the northern tip of Ibiza, overlooking Cala Xarraca, the Six Senses is a retreat in every sense of the word, offering a communal atmosphere and an opportunity to really get immersed in the artistic and spiritual essence of the island. Naturally, the food is entirely organic, seasonal and responsibly sourced in each of the restaurants, overseen by lauded Israeli chef Eyal Shani. As for the design, Six Senses is a haven of sun-bleached tones and rustic aesthetics, with rooms decked out in off-white punctuated by warm wood accents throughout. Pure bliss.
Ca Na Xica

Ca Na Xica’s strapline, “the luxury of disconnecting”, tells you all you need to know about the vibe here. Consisting of a grand, white-washed central villa around which are dotted modern finca-style bungalows, Ca Na Xica feels totally immersed in the landscape that surrounds it. Olive trees punctuate the burnt orange grounds, at the centre of which is a stunning T-shaped pool to while away the day in. The finca apartments are beautifully appointed in the traditional Ibizan style, all soft tones juxtaposed with rich wood textures. Foodies are in for a treat too, with Ca Na Xica’s restaurant, Salvia, being one of the most respected on the island. At the kitchen’s helm is Pablo Carrizo, a chef who earned his stripes in the kitchens of El Bulli, El Celler de Can Roca and Carme Ruscalleda. Salvia is, in keeping with the natural vibes of the hotel, completely alfresco and connected to the grounds from which much of the produce came.
Jardines de Palerm

If you’re looking for a quiet bolthole on the island of hedonism, then the beautiful Jardines de Palerm in San José could be the haven you’re looking for. With only nine rooms, this intimate hotel housed in a renovated 17th-century finca is nestled in the foothills of Sa Talaia, boasting dreamy sea views from the scorched red earth of an authentic Ibizan landscape. The hotel’s design follows that inimitable Ibizan shabby chic (although erring more towards the latter). Outside, vibrant pink bougainvillea spills over dusty walls, amplifying the hum of the cicadas. The peaceful gardens serve as tranquil nooks, while two infinity pool areas on separate terraces, afford views of the Mediterranean on one hand, and a palm-shaded idyll on the other.
Montesol Experimental Ibiza

The most striking building in the whole of Dalt Vila houses Montesol Experimental, a piece of Ibizan history that has put a roof over the heads of the rich and famous ever since the 1950s. Contained within the grand yellow and white colonial exterior you’ll find 33 bedrooms designed by Dorothée Meilichzon, each with views of Ibiza Town. Meilichzon has captured the glamour of old combined with a playful modernism, featuring cool, calming colours and inspirations from bohemian Ibiza. Café Montesol, the hotel’s restaurant, is equally as uplifting, but the best views in the house are to be had from the rooftop bar where you can while away the evening gazing over the Dalt Vila and planning your next night out.
Pure House

When owners Caroline and Rushan acquired this 19th-century finca property in 2017, they had a vision to turn it into an oasis of bohemian charm. They did that and more. Situated in the hills a short drive from Ibiza Town, Pure House is set on a manicured 12-hectare private estate, populated with fragrant orange groves and olive trees, as well as apricot, mango and fig trees. Palm fronds throw dappled patches of shade all over the picturesque grounds and the stunning 23-metre swimming pool. Inside, nature’s influence gives way to traditional-style white-washed walls with lots of understated wicker touches and textural wall coverings imbuing the spaces with a rustic aesthetic.
